Who Will Host The ICC T20 World Cup 2024?
ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be hosted by the United States and West Indies. In this case, half of the tournament matches will be played in the stadiums of the West Indies, and the remaining will be in the USA. Of course, everyone wants to know why the ICC has chosen the USA and West Indies. Which Stadiums Are Selected For The ICC T20 World Cup 2024?
The bidding process started in May 2023, when the United States and the Caribbean were willing to host the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Afterwards, ICC chose four stadiums from the United States, including Grand Prairie Stadium, Central Broward Park, Church Street Park, and Van Cortlandt Park. However, ICC dropped Van Cortlandt Park due to some controversial issues. The ICC again clarified its statement and finalized three stadiums: Central Broward Park, Florida, Nassau County Stadium, New York; and Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas.
Similarly, the ICC announced seven venues in the Caribbean in September 2023, including the Grenadines, Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, St Vincent, Dominica, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobago. The second inspection was done in December 2023 by the ICC chairman to decide the fixtures for the ICC T20 World Cup. Previously, Dominica withdrew its venue. Therefore, some changes were encountered in the fixtures. At last, there were six venues from the West Indies: Antigua & Barbuda, Guyana, St Lucia, Barbados, St Vincent, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Venues For ICC T20 World Cup 2024
1. Guyana National Stadium
Guyana National Stadium is also known as Providence. The stadium serves with cultural and historic vibes for different sports, including Cricket, Football, and other events. Guyana Stadium came to attention when the West Indies hosted the ICC World Cup in 2007, and this stadium was selected as the main venue for the World Cup matches.
2. Daren Sammy Cricket Ground
Daren Sammy is the top cricket player of the national West Indies team. The stadium allows the ICC to select it for International tournaments due to its vast capacity, traditional infrastructure, and beautiful seating arrangement. As Guyana, Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium was also chosen for the ICC World Cup 2007.
3. Brian Lara Cricket Academy
Brian Lara is the most famous cricketer in the West Indies. Thus, the stadium got its name from the best player. Moreover, this stadium plays a crucial role in international cricket and has also grown the popularity of cricket in the Caribbean region.
4. Arnos Vale Stadium
The first international match was played in the Arnos Vale Stadium between England and West Indies in 1981. Furthermore, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and England have also played their international matches on this ground.
5. Kensington Oval
Kensington Oval Stadium is famous for its beauty and is situated in Barbados. The first international match was played in 1895. Afterwards, England, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and New Zealand also appeared at this stadium for their international careers. For this reason, ICC always considers the Kensington Stadium for more international events.
6. Sir Vivian Richards Stadium
Sir Vivian Richards is one of the most dedicated and famous cricket players in the West Indies. He has played a captain role for the West Indies team. Currently, he serves as the team coach. Many Test, ODI, and T20 matches have been played in this stadium between the West Indies, Australia, England, India, South Africa, and Bangladesh.
7. Broward County Stadium
Broward County Stadium is located in Florida, United States. It is one of the US stadiums which has received international certification for serving in international cricket tournaments.
8. Grand Prairie Stadium
Grand Prairie Ground’s construction was completed in 2008. Previously, the stadium was fixed for baseball. Later, it was converted to a Cricket stadium in 2020. In 2024, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands, the United States, and Canada will match in Grand Prairie.
9. Nassau County International Cricket Stadium
Nassau County International Cricket Stadium has a catchy structure with a vast capacity compared to other stadiums. It is mainly located in New York, United States. Moreover, 8 ICC T20 Men’s World Cup 2024 matches are scheduled on this ground.
